I also play chamber music in various ensembles, and occasionally collaborate in world music settings such as flamenco and Latin music. I am a violinist of 15 years and have been teaching since 2014. I received my BA in an unrelated field in 2017, but incorporated music into a number of courses and assignments. I took private lessons in 2015, from 2008-2010, and from 2004-2006. I have soloed with Rainbow City Orchestra (for whom I served as Concertmaster from 2011-2015), Issaquah Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Edmonds-Woodway High School Chamber and Symphony Orchestras. I always wanted to be an opera singer until I discovered vocal jazz. Now, I write music inspired by jazz theory (sort of) and sing and arrange jazz standards and pop tunes in ways that are the most interesting to me. I earned my Masters in Studio Music and Vocal Jazz Performance from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music in 2017 and am currently writing and arranging songs for my premiere album.
