Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My teaching experience started when a good friend introduced me to a family that has two daughters that were interested in learning music. The 11 year old wanted to learn how to play the drum set and the 14 year old was interested in playing the guitar. I found the joy of teaching music to children on these instruments was a very challenging but rewarding experience that lasted for 3 years. I have always been fascinated by music, and I was introduced to my first and main instrument when I was about 12 years old: the guitar. My instructing technically goes all the way back to high school when I taught a few friends how to play guitar, but it wasn't until I started college where I truly started to hone my craft. I have taught private lessons for years and while in college I served in a 82 plus concert collegiate choir as the President, Vice President, Soprano Section leader and assistant Section leader. I am classically trained, as well as have experience in singing different languages. As a music therapist I have had the opportunity to utilize music to help other address non musical goals increasing their overall quality of life.
