I cater my teaching style to the needs of each individual student based on their performance. For beginners, I start with very simple and tactile exercises built to familiarize the student with the feeling and the habit of playing an instrument or writing a composition. For intermediate students, I dedicate the lessons toward developing a routine that works for them in practice - tone, technique, articulation, stamina, etc... For advanced students, my goal is to get them to the next level and help them discover the unique voice that every individual is gifted with, so that their music can inspire and invigorate the world around them. The bulk of my experience comes from eleven years of performance, in which I have been exposed to the vast majority of flute literature, ranging from standard solo repertoire, to chamber music (flute ensemble/woodwind quintet/flute quartets), to orchestra masterpieces, and to broadway pit orchestras.
