Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I like to start beginning students with the Rubank Elementary series of books. Along with the Rubank books, I like to also focus on music being covered in school, if applicable. For more advanced students, I focus on the mastery of scales, technique, intonation, and sound production. I like to use the Andersen etude series, but this will vary from student to student. My lessons tend to focus on the aspects of the music that I find stimulating, with hopes that each student will eventually love what they are doing. I feel that it is important to note that not all students grow the same way, and very few grow at the same rate.
