Since graduation, I was the director of jazz at Valor Voyager Academy, working in conjunction with Jazz Empowers, a nonprofit that installs and maintains jazz bands as an after school activity for schools with no music program. My efforts since my engagement at Valor Voyager have been centered around performing, and; though fruitful, I feel that I am at my best when I am teaching. I truly hope that I can assist any student in realizing any goal set in front of them. Read More

I am a music coach that helps students push through the frustration that comes with learning something new, to the gratifying victory of reaching personal goals. With typical and non-typically developing students, adaptive lessons are possible with the use of larger picks or adaptive instruments. Everyone learns differently and as a music teacher, I adapt to the needs of my students. My music therapy experience has prepared me to think outside of the box and provide a musical experience that students will enjoy and want to continue into the future. Read More

At the University of Memphis, I taught supplementary lessons as well as music theory courses. Read More

I have over 30 years of teaching experience. I began teaching Music right out of college, instrumental, vocal and general music classes. I spent many years making my living at teaching instrumental music privately in schools around the area I was pastoring. Presently, I am teaching music classes along with piano lessons and instrumental music classes to many home school students. Read More
