Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginners, I favor the Rubank methods. Beginning with intermediate to advanced students, I pull from many different methods and collections, and decide on repertoire based on a custom plan for the student's specific progress. In creating this plan, I select assignments and pieces depending on what the student is drawn to, what they wish to accomplish, and what areas of their playing need more focused work. I always try to look for repertoire that the student can polish in time for an audition/performance/jury, while also serving as a whetting stone for their skills. Read More
