As a music educator, I vow to share my passion for music with others. I want others to see what I see: Music is Bliss. I plan to use music as a means of providing a creative outlet, instilling virtues, and to ultimately create commonality and unity through this beautiful universal language they call music. Because music gave me a second shot at life, I feel inclined to live my life as a music missionary, if you will, and am deeply devoted to ensuring personal growth, artistic gratification, and musical excellence in all of my students. For beginning Flute students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements.  Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their firset recital performance.  For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. That way I can assign the right material at their playing level and start letting them know what books they will need to buy for future lessons. When i have heard them play, I go through my gallery of music and pull out tonal, technical, and everything in between to start outlining what we will be working on for months. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Violin, Flute, Music, Keyboard

When I was four years old, I sat down at the piano for the first time. The first time I pressed a key, I knew that I had a passion for music that would span my lifetime. A few years later, I took up flute and violin and joined local ensembles. I have traveled around the west coast performing classical, jazz, pop, and folk music. I graduated from Western Oregon University with my Bachelors in music composition in 2018. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
