Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Once the student has progressed and have grasped the fundamentals of playing their instrument I normally start students out with solo repertoire and etudes for recitals or auditions for commnity ensembles. For advanced students I normally will have them learn complete pieces of music from the standard repertoire of music and I normally move them on to more advanced method books at a quicker pace then what they start out with. I began teaching private flute lessons while in college in Ohio, and really expanded my individual lesson techniques while living in Phoenix. In addition to teaching large groups of flute beginners and intermediate students within the band setting at a public elementary school, I also excel in teaching beginners individeually at whatever age. I consider myself to be an extremely encouraging teacher. It is important for the student to know they are supported in their musical journey. I've learn that the most important part of educating my students is to teach to their learning style and ability while giving them some strong encouragement and guidance. I first start with an assements of where the students skills are and their mindset. I try to findout what they want to due and what they like to due. Sometimes students dont truly know.
