Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I started teaching in 2009 in Mississippi. I taught 6th grade band (beginner), 7th grade band, and high school. I taught in Mississippi for 5 years and just recently moved to Tennessee. While teaching, I've given private lessons to some of my students after school and to some students who did not attend my school. I always encourage doing a recital, entering competitions, and continuing on to college playing their instrument. I love motivating students and challenging them to be the best and nothing less. I am very passionate and dedicated about my playing. It is not easy but the end result is well worth the effort. I graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible Collage in 2008 with my Bachelor of Art in flute performance I also took my flute lessons at Belmont University. Since then I've played in various mediums, and really got a greater appreciation in slowly frogressing in my sucsess as a flute player. whilebi never thought I'd be a teacher, it's always a wonderful feeling to pass down the tradition of good flute playing. I like to spend the first lesson figuring out what the student knows so that I can formulate lesson plans that are relevant and chronological. Once a rapport is established, I introduce material that is both accessible and challenging and help the student work through the music. I like to set goals with my students, so they are self motivated and to ensure the goals are ambitious. I like to incorporate humor and games into my lessons that strengthen the student's interest and ability. Above all else, music is supposed to be fun. I want my students to be excited about learning new things each week. Music is also a collaborative practice, so I think it is important for the student and the teacher to play together in a supportive environment to help reaffirm the week's lesson. I understand that each student is different, and weekly assignments will be given accordingly.This will require a reasonable weekly goal so that students can see their progress and feel good about their accomplishments, inspiring them to continue playing and learning.
