Instruments: Flute Music
Always start with the basics to build upon a strong foundation. For beginners, I typically recommend the Rubank series (now part of the Hal Leonard Corporation), likely the Rubank Elementary Method, or E. Wagner Foundation to Flute Playing, depending upon what level they've already achieved. I teach both to the book and to the student's needs preferences; thus, we may progress on a page-by-page basis, covering approximately 1 book page per week with a weekly 45-minute lesson to review and then progress, or focus on areas the student needs to strengthen, such as practicing long-tones to improve tone strength and quality and using the book lessens only as a supplement. Shows I have recently performed includes Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat and Gypsy. Whilst in London, I spent my last two years working with young people of various ages. I worked alongside passionate colleagues to present group musical workshops that may have focused on sound, percussion, composition or with full ensembles. Some of these workshops lasted a day while others lasted a few months. I was also asked by the Royal College of Music Junior Department, who worked with talented musicians aged below 19 or pre-college, to assist in teaching flute students as well as small ensembles. I first and foremost love meeting new people and helping them to enjoy music. My background is in opera and musical theatre, but I have been playing piano for twenty-six years and also teach ukulele and flute. I have been studying music for twenty-six years, including Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in classical vocal performance. It was there where I learned to sing in seven languages. Read More

I started working as a music teacher when I was really young, during my second year in college. After all these years I've learnt how important is to connect with students to understand what motivates them, what their goals are, and what they need to achieve them. That's why I love teaching one-on-one private lessons, because I can give the students all my attention and adapt the teaching process according to their needs. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Trumpet Saxophone Flute Clarinet Recorder
I started teaching in high school and then decided to pursue degrees in performance and music education. At UNH I taught lessons part time for four years. I always put students needs and schedules first and met them either in my studio or at their home. I encourage all of my students to practice at home using techniques that are effective. I engage my students each lesson, ensuring they are constantly improving as well as enjoying their musical experience. It is my duty as an educator to pass my love of music onto my pupils. My students are of all ages and skill levels. I encourage them to enter competitions and recitals, train their ears, learn about music history, and have musical intentions whenever they play. I will help my students to achieve any level of playing. Read More
