I've been teaching from as early as middle school. I had my first two bassoon students in middle school. In addition to technique we work on music theory where the student learns to identify both the type of note it is as well as identifying the name of the note dependent on the clef and key signature of the music. Music is a lifelong passion and I want to create an atmosphere that encourages creativity and a desire to seek out other musicians. My teaching style is not rigid and I am not afraid to experiment to see what each student responds best to. There is a constant latency during live streamed lessons and that's why accommodating new ways to approach the listening/Play are so important.
