I have been studying drums for well over 17 years! I love playing, learning, and teaching drums. It's all I ever think about. I began studying Jazz drumming throughout high school, and have performed, toured, and recorded with many bands since. I have become locally acclaimed with my affiliation for local Utah music festivals such as Desert Rocks Music Festival, Powellpalooza, Uncle Uncanny's Summer Sessions, and Psych Lake City. I teach music the same way language is learned, as both involve learning to listen, speak, write, and read. I start students off with the skill of listening as I demonstrate how the instrument is played, and then move them into "speaking" by guiding them in the basics of technique that will allow them to begin producing basic sounds.
