Matthew is a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing his love for Percussion. Being a Drummer since the age of 4, Matthew has been drumming for 21 years. Beginning in 2005 Matthew began his classical training as a Symphonic Percussionist. Every Percussion Instrument was honed from Concert Snare Drum to Mallet Percussion, (Marimbas, Vibraphones, Xylophones, etc.). In 2008 Matthew started Drum Corp with the Marching Snare Drum. Matthew continued to march Snare Drum until 2013, where he now predominantly plays the Drum Set for various Metal Bands and Jazz ensembles. Read More

For young students, I start them in beginner books while singing fun songs that motivate them. For older students I pick method books more specific to their age, learning style, and progress while still focusing on key points of interest for the student.
