Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I have been teaching private lessons since 2016, and I have experience with all ages ranging from 11 to 45. While at Slippery Rock University, I assisted in the jazz camp held every year for high schoolers around the state. Part of my undergraduate degree was taking a pedagogy class for an entire semester which consisted of a variety of teaching methods. I have played in bands from Hollywood to Toronto and back both as a singer songwriter and guitarist. I bring the Musicians Institute way to the table and get things up and running quickly, and help students get it under their fingers fast and get it right the first time. I generally try to understand the fundamentals as to where the student is at currently. The basics are always where we drill the most. Playing the fundamentals must become like second nature as all the advance stages of playing and performing would always be difficult. Besides having a good grasp on the fundamentals, it is always important to find out what the student is interested in and the direction emphasis that the student / student's parent wants to get to of music lessons. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games and spending time with family. I have performed with various professional groups through out the years. A regular with the Orchestra of Northern NY and Northern Symphonic Winds as well as had the honor of performing with the U.S. Airforce Band. I studied under Catherine Meunier and James Petercsak.
