I believe in the philosophy of and empty cup. My lessons are not built for me to tell the student what to do, but rather learn how they learn and research the best practices for reaching that student. There is no "cookie cutter" method that works for all students, because everyone learns and comprehends a little bit differently. I remain sensitive to that and patient with my students. It always gets me when a student that is stuck on a part of their music finally understands and performs the passage perfectly. Read More

My method is simple , edgy and creative the approach is extremely understandable and fun as long as the student continues to set personal time for self practice the sky is the limit I personally take student on stage to perform with my band when I feel and see they are ready they learn many original songs that I have written and help them find their confidence on stage we will work on stage presence, showmanship and most of all working in a top notch rock n roll band there is a lot of involvement when comes to performing and entertaining an audience this is a bit more than recital or playing your favorite cover song htere's alot of creativity that goes on with my methods. On the first lesson you will set short and long term goals you would like to achieve on your playing, and I will then design a lesson plan to achieve those goals. From there on each lesson will be a fun and challenging workshop in which I will help you gain technique and musicality in your favorite music styles, always working toward your goals. Each lesson generally starts off with some assigned work from the previous lesson and then we move on to technique/reading skills exercises. Read More

For beginning drum set students, the program I recommend is starting with Drum Set Essentials by Peter Erskine. As skills in rudiments and basic patterns develop, I go on to materials such as Syncopation by Ted Reed (reading, coordination, technique), and Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone (technique). For piano, I go over basic theory, major and minor scales, chords and arpeggios and work in Piano For Adults by James Bastien. Read More
