For each lesson, I begin with a 5 to 10 minute warmup before moving on to the student's assigned music.  I like to alternate between actual performance/practicing, and teaching concepts including music theory.  I also wrap-up every lesson by spending 5 minutes in review with the student, going over what they need to practice in the coming week ahead.
