I will begin with what the student is interested in, work with songs or genres that they like and go from there. I will always make it fun and engaging no matter their ability level. I will teach with some of the Agostini's books for every level, and some books that I used in school. We will learn, develop rudiments, grooves, concepts ideas, independance together and make it fun. I set fun goals and I challenge each student every step of the way to help them reach them. I point out their strengths yet I keep a close eye on their weaknesses and work with them to eliminate any all bad habits in playing instruments. I have been teaching for about 6 years and my students cover a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Everyone comes in with their own goals and I try as best I can to tailor our lesson experience around that. Percussion/Drumming is a unique instrument or set of instruments that lends itself to so many different genres and musical spheres, which makes the trajectory of our specific lessons unique.
