I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Colorado; my Master’s degree in music from Colorado State University and my Doctorate in Orchestra conducting from the University of South Carolina. I am a native of Pueblo, CO and grew up playing cello, first in the Pueblo Youth Symphony and latter with the Pueblo Symphony, Mozart Chamber Orchestra and Pueblo Jazz Orchestra. It is also great for intermediate students as the transition into this method does not take long once I have evaluated the student's skill level. I fell in love with my cello at age 12, when my mother brought it home as a birthday present. I competed in the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) where I received 3 A+ grades, for my performance of Haydn's cello concerto #1 in D minor, Bach Suite #3, Boccherini cello concerto and Vivaldi sonata #3.
