I also started to use GarageBand to record songs. Shortly before I graduated, I started to teach myself piano. Read More

I earned my bachelors degree from Northwestern State University in music performance, and my masters degree in music performance from Louisiana State University. My methods are unique and effective. First I share with my students the history and culture of the instrument. Then I teach how the instrument works, explaining every detail. I use simple exercises that quickly ingrain a foundation for progression. Next I build confidence by playing along in collaboration, while teaching synchronization and tempo. As the student progresses I introduce more exercises that increase skill level. Once ready, we start playing full songs and compositions. Read More

For bass, I typically teach out of the Suzuki book series, while as for guitar, I use the Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, however, I am happy to teach whatever method a student or their parents feel strongly about.
