Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. When I was 16 years old VOX sponsored me and I played their guitars and amps at the 1964 World's Fair in NYC.' I began my music lessons at age 4 on clarinet. My Mom, from Italy sang Opera and my Dad from Idaho was an accomplished guitarist. I taught guitar and reeds as a teenager. I am sure to acknowledge accomplishments, not only by finding and setting milestones with each student to discover during lessons, but by (as effectively as I can) creating opportunities for students to perform a recital and demonstrate what they have learned for friends and family. I also make a point of ensuring students know that their lessons with me are a safe and inclusive space. I began teaching guitar in 2006 at Katzin Music in Durango CO. I maintained a full schedule and gained a lot of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I have relocated to Denver CO and have started my own teaching business and have undoubtedly gained the most success of my teaching career. Once an adequate amount of fundamental material has been grasped, I like to have the student select songs or pieces that they already know of and learn to play simple translations of them that I will prepare. For intermediate students: heavy rigor with more complicated exercise in the form of etudes (piano), vocal runs (voice), and picking exercises (bass/guitar) is encouraged, with an introduction to more complicated music theory and harmony.
