We will also work on building a repetoire of songs for the student to work on perform. Intermediate students will work on the fundamentals of theory, triads, beginner 7th chords, and improvasation. I give a very good foundational approach to the learning experience. For example, I teach students how to find the notes on the guitar and the bass. From there on the guitar, I teach the open string chords. On the bass, I give fingering exercises and patterns to work on. With the chords, we look at simple songs to play. What do you like about their music? What are your goals with taking lessons?
