I'm Jasmine, but you can call me Jas or Jassie! I'm a performer local to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I love helping other vocalists achieve their vocal goals. I started teaching piano in 2016 then realized I loved teaching my primary instrument, voice. As a Filipina-American, karaoke was very common at my family parties. My primary goal is to fill the student with the love of guitar and the passion to continue and grow. This is accomplished by continuing to challenge the student while keeping the process as interesting and fun as possible. I encourage the student to choose songs they want to work on rather than my dictating the music. From the academic stance, I would say that my teaching style lends itself to the Italian school of singing. But in all honesty, I just believe in the appearance of effortless and healthy singing! I don’t believe in a lot of jaw or over all body tension (over stiff or overly physical vocal methods).
