For beginning students, around ages 5-9, I start with easy songs, but also teach them how singing works. I like to teach technique, and help students improve in their singing. Once students have grasped the fundamentals of singing, I'll let them start looking at solo repertoire so they can practice for a recital performance. I'm a passionate instructor who has a love for working with students and cheering them on in their musical career. I've been in 27 musical theatre productions, and have a true passion for the stage. Most notable productions include being Samantha in the Off-Broadway production Circle of Friends at the American Girl Theater, Alice in Alice in Wonderland at Casa Manana, and Sally Brown in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown at Dallas Baptist University. Some featured roles include portraying Phyllis in Gilbert Sullivans Iolanthe, Despina in Mozarts Cosi fan tutte, and Susanna in Mozarts Le Nozze di Figaro. In the spring of 2009, I was a featured soloist for Charpentier's Midnight Mass at the UTSA Masterwork Concert, and again in 2010 for Handel's Messiah. In 2013, I performed as the soprano soloist at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Haydn's 'Lord Nelson' Mass, Pergolesi's 'Stabat Mater', and Poulenc's 'Gloria'. Read More
