Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For my beginning students on piano, I like to start out with knowing finger numbers, practicing scales and introducing simple songs to help get the feel of how to play the piano. I then move on to, not only giving the student an option to tell me what songs they would like to learn, but also to songs that increase the note range! I began teaching back in my sophomore year of high school when one of my friends wanted to learn how to play the piano. I gave them half hour lessons once a week and tailored my teaching to fit what techniques they wanted to learn. After that, I began branching out and teaching other friends, and eventually found myself helping out the middle school bands during my study hall. Now that I am in college, my own playing has improved and I have found new ways to connect and teach students whether that be in person, or by using technology such as skype. Read More

Pushing my students to achieve their fullest potential without burning them out is a quality for which I alway strive. I try to make my lessons fun, but also transformative. With regard to technique, I take a mechanist strategy. We work on each part of the vocal mechanism till it performs optimally and then we work on coordinating the parts so they work cohesively like a fine tuned machine.
