I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I have a proven record of success preparing students for voice examinations, auditions, and competitions for the last 15 years. I have performed with The Canadian Royal Opera Company, the National Opera in Greece, the National Opera of Albania, and for various community and social functions. Alysha S is a classically trained vocalist who performs and teaches all styles of singing, specializing in classical, jazz, folk, pop, soul, and world music. She is also a hand percussionist and percussion teacher. In addition to these instruments, she plays guitar, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, and she makes electronic music with Ableton Live. Alysha has studied and performed music from the Balkans and Mideast since 2006, specializing in percussion and regional vocal techniques from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Albania, and Macedonia. I first started teaching guitar in high school after i got a few lessons from someone i looked up to in high school. From then on i have loved to teach music to all ages!. My longest student started at 12 and by time he was 17 years old i told him he would be having to teach me a few things soon. we became friends and were in a band together for a while until i moved south, i loved having that connection, and i hope to find plenty others like that. it makes me feel good knowing others are gaining from my teaching so i do my very best!
