Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Roxanne is a singer-songwriter based in Richmond, Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Music degrees in both Vocal Performance and Music Education from Longwood University in 2017. She has experience singing and performing many styles of music, including musical theatre, classical "opera", jazz, folk, and pop. She also considers herself a singer-songwriter and often performs at local venues in Washington, D.C. as well as at weddings. In addition to voice, Roxanne also plays guitar, piano, ukulele and bass. My method of teaching is very an easy one. I start off by teaching them the correct way to breath. I will also require them to do some breathing excerises. Once I feel they understand how to breath well. I then will teach them how to sing. We start off with simple excerises showing then how to place the vowel sound which is key to making an beautiful sound. I will record several differrent excerises for them to practise. Read More

Each student is different. My teaching style depends on the need of the student. However, generally, I will start with technical exercises to help the student work on a particular skill that can be used in a variety of songs (ex. tone production, vowels, diction).
