I have performed at the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival and the Philadelphia Folk Festivals, and my true passion is to play and share my love for music with as many people as I can. I have been teaching for over 20 years.  My students have won many awards including college scholarships and the talent portion of Ms. Tennessee. I have taught all ages and all experience levels. We all start out learning basic concepts which will give us good posture and technique, then we will move forward toward the goals you want to reach. You don't have to be young to start playing! I use the Suzuki method for beginners! Once they reach intermediate level I start incorporating more etude books and a wider range of repertoire. I also teach beginners a lot of singing so they can really listen for intonation at an early stage. Listening skills are very important to me as well as music theory! I start giving worksheets to my students as soon as they start with me. The worksheets get more difficult as they get more advanced. Read More

My first experience with teaching was as a 15 year old counselor at a week long violin summer camp in Maine that my private teacher was running. It was a really fun summer of outdoor violin practice, board games, fishing, swimming, watching movies and cooking together. Since then, I have been teaching private lessons and also enjoyed 2 summers teaching at Interlochen. My students are active in the local community and we participate in most of the local opportunities such as All west, youth symphonies, and competitions. Read More

I like to begin each lesson with a warm up to get the mind and fingers working together. From there we will focus on building technique, musicality, and theory knowledge while focusing on cello repertoire. To end each lesson, we'll break out something fun whether that means learning a new pop song, jazz piece, or playing a cello duet.
