Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginning students, I usually prefer to use the Suzuki method, as this is the method I grew up on, and I prefer to teach the knowledge that I find useful in the method. However, my lessons are not solely based on my preference, as I identify individual strengths and weaknesses and target those in the sessions. Ability level also has a big role in planning the direction of the lesson, as I do not use Suzuki for advanced students. Read More

The biggest challenge in the beginning is learning about you as a student and how you learn. I have played the violin since I was 8 years old in school orchestras and small ensembles. I have also learned Irish traditional music in Ireland, from the Irish in music sessions and in more formal school settings. I spent 9 months there obtaining a Masters in Ethnomusicology. Vicki is a classically trained violinist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She believes that with proper and efficient training, anyone can reach their goals on violin playing. Her goal as an educator is to provide students with resources to further develop their musical technique with an organized mindset. For the past 7 summers, she has performed at the Emerging Artists Concert in UVM Music Hall in Burlington, Vermont.
