If the student has a good ear and is interested in learning how to play pop piano, we work on aural skills and learning how to play a song by ear only. In 1979 I graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Instrumental Secondary-Elementary Music specializing in Orchestral Music, Kirksville, Missouri. I graduated from Park University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Violin Performance, and I am currently working on my master's degree. I enjoy performing, and I often perform throughout the Kansas City area, as well as various opportunities around the world. Radio broadcasts include Ozark Public Radio KSMU, Kansas Public Radio KANU, and Tulsa Public Radio KWTU. In 2008, I won the Oral Roberts University 20th Century Music Competition with Joan Tower's Platinum Spirals. Winning that competition sparked my interest in discovering and performing New Music.
