Hi! I'm a violinist and full-ride scholarship receiver at the Yale School of Music. I also hold a Bachelor of Music Degree with full-ride at the Peabody Institute of Music of the Johns Hopkins University. 17 years of professional training in violin, I'm an accomplished violinist with awards and prizes winning from major compeititons. I'm capable of teaching students from all levels and backgrounds and I give lessons with specific curriculums vary with students, so they could get the most efficient and benefit teaching according to their own needs. I am Cristina, Violin Piano Music teacher, recording artist and educator. Classical trained from Piano and Violin when I was 5 and switched to viola after high school. For very beginning students, I usually start with the Suzuki Method Books and All For Strings Comprehensive String Method Books. I usually encourage my students to read music, but for the youngest students I start by playing with them and having them copy me. Once they are ready, I start teaching them basic music theory that will help them read music. For intermediate to advanced players I institute a routine of practicing scales and etudes as well as a solo piece that is appropriate for their ability level. Read More
