I started my internship in my junior year of high school as a middle school orchestra assistant and I have enjoyed teaching ever since. I am a current student at the University of North Florida where I am studying Music Education and participating in the UNF Orchestra. I began teaching private violin lessons in high school and I have continued to teach ever since. While studying at NYU, I enjoyed working with public school students as a Teaching Artist through the Brooklyn Philharmonic outreach program. At the University it Miami I took pedagogy coursework and taught through the Frost School of Music’s preparatory and MusicReach programs. I teach both the Classical and Suzuki methods. I have students of all ages so it varies which student is learning which method. The best for children is the Suzuki method that is widely used in the USA. Classical methods can be used when I teach young adults and adults. It is pretty flexible though and I sometimes teach younger children the classical method. I like challenges and I often have children and older students that express different tempers. Read More
