My teaching experience began in high school, where I mentored the younger musicians and acted as a role model to them. In college, I began teaching private lessons to students of varying ages and abilities, as well as leading advanced ensembles made up of college-level musicians. I started teaching in 1991 after graduating with a degree in Music History. I also gained training at that time as a Suzuki Teacher books 1 to 4. As I grew as a teacher I learned that to reach students I had to mold to their way of learning, so I now don't use one particular method. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in Cincinnati for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My teaching experience started in Music Collage,where teaching of school age students was part of curriculum .After graduation from Kiev Conservatory I taught individual violin and viola lessons at Kiev Music School #10 for Gifted Children. Shortly after immigrating to the United States I joined the teaching staff of the Notre Dame School of Music,where I served as a violin teacher for 5 years. When in 2005 the school was closed,I decided to continue teaching and created my private studio, where I have been teaching students of all ages and levels to play violin,viola and piano. Read More
