I am a graduate of Texas Tech University. I began teaching privately in 1985 on the Lubbock ISD Music Tutorial Program. I went into the schools and taught students privately during class hours. I taught Tuba and Baritone Horn. In 1989 I began teaching with Lubbock Parks and Recreation in the community centers. This was more generalized. I taught Band Instruments, Voice, Guitar, Music Theory, Beginner Piano, Beginner Strings. What I consider to be my crown achievement is hearing from parents who told me that the overall academic performance of their children had improved since they began taking lessons from me. Read More

I teach all my students multiple styles, because it is important for trumpet players to know how to play every style. I am quick to acknowledge when a student has gotten better. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance, Jazz. I have performed in South Africa and Mozambique from 2005-2012 with jazz performance ranging from small venues to larger venues with Heads of State.
