I began teaching while working on my undergraduate degrees at CSU Northridge. I worked as an elementary school trumpet instructor. After graduating form CSUN I began teaching privately garnering much success with my students. For a time I worked as an orchestra conductor for the youth symphony west program running the advanced orchestra and intermediate string ensemble. I attended St. Olaf College for my undergraduate degree and did a Bachelor's of Music in Trumpet Performance and Bachelor's of Arts in Music Theory/Composition. After graduating in 2009, I volunteered for a year as a music teacher in rural Malaysia. Upon returning to the US, I did a Master's of Music at Eastman School of Music before working as a teacher and freelancer in Singapore for two years. I love playing and teaching all kinds of music!
