I have been teaching since college, when I started a small private studio consisting of classmates, children, and adults. Since then, I have been consistently teaching in a variety of settings, including my home studio, private music academies, online lessons, and piano courses for music majors. The core of my teaching philosophy is that learning music should be enjoyable and fulfilling. From 2020 - present, every summer I have been teaching at the Hilton Head Jazz Camp. This jazz camp is a week-long intensive learning experience. Jazz musicians from all over the U.S. come to teach at the camp and help the students learn about jazz. In this camp I had the responsibility of teaching theory, improvisation, sight reading, and musicality with playing.
