Having a comfortable, supportive environment for private lessons is very important to me. Nothing is worse than being scared of your private instructor! I like to create a warm environment for my students where they feel safe taking musical risks. I definitely believe in goal setting with my students. Prior to enrolling in a music school, I developed an unexpected interest in teaching. Assisting struggling peers brought self awareness and inevitably made me, as well as the overall group better, allowing me to understand a connection between music performance and education. For the past 4 years, I have been at Seton Hall University studying to become proficient in Contemporary Trumpet and to possess solid skills in the collection of all other brass and woodwind instruments in order to teach music. I am fully qualified and most of my teaching experience comes from my students and teaching music within my church. While student teaching I taught all instrumental music classes for grades 8 9.I also collaborated on curriculum and exam development, met with students upon request, graded all written work and oral playing tests, and created lesson plans.
