I taught elementary music for twenty plus years in the public school system (band, chorus, and classroom music). Additionally, I have taught private music lessons, traveling to my students’ homes and in my studio.   My teaching career began in college. I taught trombone lessons and was an instructor for the Hampton University Band Camp. In 2009 I became a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University. I also taught at an elementary school while I was in graduate school. After college I moved to North Carolina and became a band director on the middle school and high school level. My strongest skill is composition and arranging.  My works have been played on the middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional level.  This skill set includes jazz, popular music, classical, gospel, small ensembles, and large ensembles. I am an experienced trombonist located in Raleigh, NC. I have established an exceptional playing career spanning from Middle and High School, having won chairs in multiple All-District honor bands, to performing with numerous ensembles spanning genres such as classical, jazz, and funk. Currently, I actively perform with the Greensboro Concert Band, Tobacco Road Trombones, and the Kings of Swing Jazz Orchestra.
