In Orange County he performs with Dana Point Symphony, Symphony Irvine, OC Millennial Orchestra, OC Orchestra Collective, OC Symphony/Wind Ensemble, Sarang Church Orchestra and many more. Andrew has performed across the US and abroad, for TV, film, radio broadcasts, and recorded for pop artist Michael Bubl. As a soloist he has performed the national anthem at the Rose Bowl, Championship Soccer Stadium, and recently performed the national anthem for a Los Angeles Angels baseball game to a live audience of more than 40,000 (2019). It was more of an epiphany than a gradual choice which saw me take on the career of a musician. From a young age and onward, I always maintained an affinity and constant desire for music. In all this time nothing has ever proved so gratifying. No doubt I have various instructors to thank for this love, along with their respective academic institutions. From completing my undergraduate studies at Cal State Northridge, and finishing with graduate performance work at the wonderful University of Southern California, I more than owe it to the world of music education to give back however I can. After I first received my Bachelor's Degree from CSU Fullerton, I opted to showcase my original music through distinct outlets. One of the resulting projects, themattsmithneujazztrio, has recorded three full-length records; my other project, JUICEBOX, has recorded two. I gained a masters of music in jazz drum set from California Institute of the Arts, where I was honored to record my own composition for the CalArts, 30th Annual Jazz CD at Capitol Records. I've been playing the trombone for over 20 years and have studied music my whole life. I started with the piano and guitar at age 4 but didn't continue those professionally. I wanted to get involved with the music program at my school which brought me in contact with playing trombone.
