Every student is different, so I do my best to nurture musical growth and development at a pace that is feasible for each student as an individual. No two lesson plans are identical. Based on how confident the student feels with the prospect of moving onto the next level in their studies, I begin to assign goals for the next lesson. At our first lesson, we will dive into what YOU want to learn. It's my job as a teacher to facilitate a creative and challenging learning environment, but it's up to you, the student, to make the time we spend together something you would like to work on. My teaching experience began in my first year of college teaching beginning piano. I have since grown my studio from there to teaching trombone. I encourage students to be passionate about what they play while also balancing what we learn through various method books. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2007, I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano/Trombone Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play in Hollywood on American Idol, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, United Kingdom, Bahamas, Puerto Rico with the former lead singer from Journey, and many other places around the United States.
