I am a passionate music instructor with over 30 years of experience teaching music in various capacities. Beginning in 1993 from the classrooms of preschoolers through 12th grade I enjoyed leading choirs, putting on musicals, touring, competitions, and teaching theory and piano classes. In 2010 in California, I opened my own studio for private lessons and hosted many student recitals over the years. In 2022 we moved to Idaho where I am currently building my student roster so that I can host many more recitals, and help students on their musical journeys. Read More

I'm a passionate instructor that focuses on each individual's goals needed to further their love for music or to be audition ready at all times. I graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Music performance, emphasis in voice and have continued my career with music. I believe my students will learn at their highest potential by personalizing each lesson around what they need. For example: if a student is interested in auditioning for College or specific ensembles or groups, I will incorporate the audition requirements into the lesson so they feel adequately prepared when they walk into their audition. Every student is assigned music.  Beginning students often start in lesson books.  I use the Bastien book series for my youngest students, Alfred books for ages 6-11, and Bastien Books for students older.  As students grow and become more advanced I also assign solo pieces from other sources to supplement a students progress.  I tailor every lesson to fit a students particular strengths and weaknesses and no two lessons are ever the same.  For all levels I try to make the lessons fun and interesting. I have been teaching music ever since I began to develop a formal education myself. I began by teaching anyone and everyone I could as early as my first year of college. I quickly figured out that anyone could really learn this stuff. I also realized that most people wanted to learn at some point, just never got around to it or stopped believing they could.
