In 2013 I received my Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Music and Music Theory from Bluefield College. I own and conduct Ovation Symphony Orchestra. I have played for the Rappahannock Youth Symphony and the Bluefield College Orchestra and in duets and trios with members of the Roanoke Symphony. I live in Virginia and have played for local wineries, art museums, and restaurants; I also play weddings, dinner parties, and private events. As I mentioned above, having this balance between having fun, enyoing and learning how to be responsible and dedicated, is healthy and efficient! For beginning students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, Suzuki, and easy scales. Once the student has progressed and appears to grasp the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce etudes and solo pieces. I also teach students elementary music theory related to the pieces they are learning. For advanced students, I focus more on their technique and performance.
