Hello there! I am a current VCU student in the Musical Education course of study with an interest in teaching younger and older students alike, with a focus on particularly reaching neurodivergent students. I'm currently a junior, with 10 years of viola performance and 8 years of violin performance. I've given performances both solo and chamber in the Singelton Center for the Performing Arts, along with side gigs. I teach Classically trained Violin, viola, and piano. I am equally comfortable teaching very beginners as well as high school and adult students. I am very honest in my feedback. I like to stick to the former. I strongly believe that a good, strong foundation leads to fewer problems in the future and makes the process of music-making much more enjoyable. I try to cater to the each student's particular needs. For beginning students that are children I typically start with the Essential Elements Strings Book 1 in combination with Suzuki first book. As every student progresses at a different pace, I adjust my teaching curriculum accordingly.
