Music has always been a passion for me. I'm motivated to work with students and show them how music can transform them as a person and musician. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Instrumental Music Education and a Bachelors in Percussion Performance. Performing in different types of ensembles throughout the years has given me versatility as a precussionist in many different styles, such as marching band, classical, musical theatre, latin jazz and hip-hop. For beginning students, I usually start with technique and rudiments with reading. Once the student begins to learn a few rudiments and has correct technique we will start working on solo snare drum reading or playing to a music track if they are a drum set player. As far back as I can remember I've always had a fascination with musical instruments and a deep desire to make music. I have attended a few private music schools in Los Angeles, CA in 1994 and in 1996 which allowed me to hone in my skills. I participate actively in praise and worship teams to the day since 1992. I was taking college classes, so I had some free time during school hours, and my school's band director would have me assist him in teaching the younger band classes.
