It is a privilege to be able to be a part of the development of a musical goal no matter the age or skill level. I take it upon myself to make sure that each student achieves his or her musical goals. I start all my beginners with getting to learn their instrument, the fundamentals of music like scales and progressions and some fun simple songs or melodies. Higher skill levels will include developing the ear for pitch and rhythm, performing in real time and improvisation. Read More

My only reward is seeing one of my students getting better, and developing a passion for music! I will work with each student at their own pace to ensure that they are able to reach realistic goals. I will encourage students to be problem solvers by LISTENING to my instruction, APPLYING what they have heard, and then LEARNING from what they've applied. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and I will do my best to figure out what inspires the student so that i can access my instructions successfully to their needs. My father taught me drums when I grew up and the one thing he constantly preached was to be versatile. Read More
