I have been teaching private guitar and piano lessons since 2011 . I currently teach piano,  to kids from kindergarten to fifth grade, in a group setting as part of an after school program as well as private piano or keyboard lessons. I taught guitar and music theory classes at  the Nevada Art Academy in Las Vegas since 2012. Lessons are structured with some type of warm up, a technique and solo performance, as well as practicing skills on sight reading. This is good for both adults and kids. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
