I am classically trained in piano and vocals, but I can teach many other styles. I believe that when a serious teacher interacts with a creative, ambitious student the musical results can be magical. The most effective lessons are one on one between the teacher and student. I like to provide both a fun learning experience and results. The study of music can provide long-term pleasure and accomplishment. I recommend my students practice at least 20 minutes per day to develop their abilities. Read More

I have been teaching in the St. Louis area since 2001, when I took my first Piano Pedagogy course at Webster University. I also taught for 2 years in the Los Angeles area. I have taught children as young as 5 years old and my oldest student was 88. I encourage regular practice but always attempt to inspire motivation rather than enforce it. I bring standard piano repertoire and classical literature to the table so that students can discover their preferences and have a clear sense of Music History. Read More

Effective teaching caters to each student's unique needs and learning styles. This is why although I prefer the Music Tree series of method books, I'm also flexible and observant to determine the best possible approach on a student-by-student basis. My goal is to instill a genuine, passion for music in my students, and also to help develop well-rounded musicians. Whether you want to play Mozart, write songs, or play in a jazz band, I want to give you the tools you need to make the most of that situation. Read More
