I have been teaching others since 2006 during my high school years. It has continued on even to today; other than private lessons I have been a staff member for band in schools across Louisiana and Texas. I have always been dedicated to my students and their pursuit of musical mastery through setting achievable goals and helping students exceed them. My goal is for the student to have fun and participate in the direction of their education while learning important theory and repertoire from the canon. For beginner students, I like the Rubank methods volumes 1 and 2 for fundamentals. This will be supported through tone development exercises and etudes for technique. I will introduce serious music as soon as possible commensurate with ability. I continued to teach private lessons after I graduated from high school. I continued giving lessons all through college and even after I graduated. Staying motivated is the key to your success.
