I had begun teaching flute lessons during my undergraduate degree, and have more than 10 years of experience. I have taught private lessons in my own studio, also at afterschool institutes/programs such as Orchepia School of Music in Diamond Bar, CA, and Kid's Orchestra in Baton Rouge, LA. For beginning students, I use the Standard of Excellence book 1 by Bruce Pearson. For intermediate students, I use the Standard of Excellence book 2, and for the advanced students, I use the Standard of Excellence book 3. I introduce solo repertoire to the middle and advanced students. I will find what will suite the students.
