Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I approach teaching in a very relaxed manner. If my students learn in a certain type of way I will differentiate my teaching style to accommodate them. I believe all students can learn and enjoy music, it is just a matter of finding the way that speaks to them the most. I do this by first seeing their experience level, asking where they are hoping to be, setting realistic goals, and by acknowledging their mile stones to keep their motivations high. Read More

My goal is for the student to have fun and participate in the direction of their education while learning important theory and repertoire from the canon. For beginner students, I like the Rubank methods volumes 1 and 2 for fundamentals. This will be supported through tone development exercises and etudes for technique. I will introduce serious music as soon as possible commensurate with ability.
