I began teaching music in 2010 as a high school senior. I quickly began to love it and decided to make it my career. I have taught K-12 grade music as well as a private clarinet and saxophone studio before realizing that I wanted to get back to performing and growing my studio. I moved to Fayetteville and started my masters at the University of Arkansas. I have performed with the Hutchinson Community Band, Lindsborg Community Band, Lindsborg Community Orchestra, Christian Youth Theatre of Wichita, Hutchinson Community Theatre, Dodge City Cowboy Band and many more college level ensembles. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals and practice logs for my students at each lesson. I acknowledge the accomplishments to help fuel my student to want to progress and learn more. I try to find out what inspires my student so i can successfully tailor my instructions to their needs. Read More

I have always helped my band directors teach my clarinet sections during tryout sessions. Aside from musical technique, I also plan to offer my students support in all aspects of their lives. Some of my primary values are equality and mental health, so I plan to offer them opportunities that fit within their needs. Read More

While I don't have much experience teaching instruments (yet!!!), I have been teaching for a long time. Dating back to high school I would often tutor students on various subjects like math, chemistry, and, of course, music. I was known for explaining things to students that they couldn't understand the way that the teachers would teach it. Nowadays, I'm often tutoring my fellow music majors on music theory and I'm planning on starting a club next semester at my college to teach people music that don't want to learn in a classical teaching method.
