I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. I try to use psychological judo to draw a student into why they need to learn what they think is unimportant. An example of this might be scales, which are boring to some. I'll show them how learning scales is critical to chord theory and construction, as well as improvisation.
