Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I studied piano performance, guitar, music theory, and music therapy at the University of Alabama where I gained the equivalence to an Associate Degree in Music. I'm brand new to teaching guitar, so my methods are somewhat flexible with regards to student needs. I have experience both with written music and tabs, so student preference will determine which route to take. I've always found lessons to be more effective when instructors utilized the song method; to me, introducing elements of theory through this method makes the information "stickier." I hope students come away from each lesson motivated to practice and improve; ultimately, a student takes away what he or she puts in. Read More

I'm very big on motivation. I tell my students from day one how great there doing and give them something to work towards. For example if I have a guitar student that really wants to be a lead guitarist I will play the solo of one of there favorite songs and teach them a small part of it or all of it if they are at an advanced level. I believe this is why my stufents never quit and always are excited to lesrn more because theres never a dull moment. Read More
