I have been a music lover ever since I can remember. Playing music has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever received, and I love sharing that gift with my students. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and from University of North Texas with a Master of Music in Percussion Performance. I have played a wide variety of styles from classical, to rock, to Caribbean steel pan, and I draw from all of my experiences to help students realize their goals regardless of the styles they are interested in. Teaching is a huge responsibilty that I do not take light heartedly. If we as teachers do a suburd job, it will have a huge effect on a students over all life. Musical education teaches us about the mind and body and balance between the two. It teaches us logic, problem solving, and creative thinking in balance with eachother.
