I have been a music lover ever since I can remember. Playing music has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever received, and I love sharing that gift with my students. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and from University of North Texas with a Master of Music in Percussion Performance. My method begins with basic note reading stick grip, we concentrate on relaxation. stick control note reading. As soon as they are able to cleanly play 16th notes on a practice pad, we incorporate drum set independence. This independence is introduced through learning various genres of music, which also introduce various styles of playing.
