I like to start where the student is. For my youngest students, we begin with the basics of counting and the music alphabet. In 1966 I graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, Il, where I been a full scholarship applied clarinet major. Earlier, I was a charter member of School Band of America-European concert tour. I was also the enlisted band leader for the Alabama Army National Guard Band, culminating with replacing the West Point band in New York and playing a concert at Rockefeller Center in New York City. I have played the music at a local theater for Camelot the musical. I am asked to play at various local churches.
