I have been teaching young people and adults how to play musical instruments for over 20 years. Currently I conduct after school music programs at the University of Memphis Campus School, CTK Lutheran School in Memphis, and Incarnation Catholic School in Collierville. As a Pastor I still directed musicals and I taught drumers how to play drumset and required them to play for my ministry once they were good enough. I started teaching private lessons my senior year in high school. Once I went to music school, i started to refine my teaching technique, and have been teaching privately for the past 25 years. Regularity and time management is key to my student's success. I like to draw on classical repertoire outside of the standard clarinet and saxophone repertoire to allow my students a well rounded classical experience.
